In 2023, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have taken the internet by storm. The term “AI revolution” is often thrown around, but only time can tell how appropriate it is. ChatGPT4 kicked off the AI race for 2023, and new contestants have been appearing ever since. But how many of them are actually useful productivity tools?
Among hyper-specific professional tools and recreational AI partners, 2023 brought us some incredible new AI gear. Here are our favorite AI productivity tools of 2023.
RambleFix turns your audio notes into finished writing
Have you ever used dictation on your phone or PC, only to discover that your ramblings don’t make for very good writing? If so, RambleFix.com might be for you. The tool takes mumbling, slightly incoherent recordings and turns them into clear written content.

Unlike other presentation-focused AIs, Plus AI for Google Slides doesn’t just take a prompt to spit out a finished presentation. One of the main issues with generative AI is that, while it saves time to create content, editing the content usually takes time. Plus AI makes it easy to be involved at every step of the process, except the ones you want to automate.
ChatGPT 3 and ChatGPT 4
ChatGPT needs no introduction. It is the most popular generative AI tool out there. It was even the first broadly available AI text generator. If you have to choose one productivity AI tool to get accustomed to in 2024, it should be this one.
For one, it’s free! Besides that, it has become so popular that some familiarity with it might become a job prerequisite.
But what can ChatGPT do? ChatGPT is the main text application of the GPT Large Language Model. It generates text that realistically mimics human output and is a great brainstorming partner; it’s also great for some coding, coders say. It can simplify complex topics, though it might make up some of the details. And, of course, GPT is great for improving any type of writing.
Is ChatGPT Sustainable?
ChatGPT has faced great criticism, not least because of its sustainability issues. A recent studyfrom Stanford University suggests that training the database powering GPT3 produced as much as 500.000 kilos of carbon dioxide. And that’s just during training, meaning it doesn’t include the energy required to actively use the system.
GPT4’s database is significantly larger than its predecessor. While we don’t have definitive data, GPT4 is likely the most impactful of any LLM publicly available.
