The office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayed Ali Al-Hussaini Al-Sistani In Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf in Iraq, has issued a statement regarding the recent massacre committed by the occupying army in Al-Tabaeen School in the Gaza Strip, Occupied Palestine.
Translation of the original statement:
“In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Once again, the Israeli occupation army has perpetrated a major massacre in the steadfast Gaza Strip by targeting displaced people who were sheltering in Al-Tabaeen School. This attack resulted in a large number of innocent civilian casualties, adding to the series of its continuous crimes over the past ten months.
Recently, this included treacherous assassination operations targeting prominent leaders in the resistance against the occupation, resulting in the martyrdom of several. These actions have violated the sovereignty of several regional countries, increasing the risk of major confrontations that, if they occur, Allah forbid, would have catastrophic consequences for the region and its people.
Words cannot sufficiently condemn these heinous crimes committed by monsters in human form who are devoid of all human values and noble principles. It is regrettable that they receive unlimited support from several major countries, which prevents international laws from being applied to those who commit crimes against humanity.
We call on the world, once again, to stand up against this horrific brutality and prevent the occupation forces from executing their plans to inflict further harm on the oppressed Palestinian people. We also call on the Islamic nations, in particular, to unite and pressure to stop the genocide in beloved Gaza and to provide more support to its noble people.
There is no power nor strength except through Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
