A massive winter storm will hit Southern Quebec. The large and heavy winter storm system expected to reach the area by Thursday evening, December 22, 2022.
Most schools on the island of Montreal, QC, Canada will be closed Friday, December 23, 2022 due to this massive winter storm.
The major school boards and service centres on the Island of Montreal, including the English Montreal School Board (EMSB), the Lester B. Pearson School Board, the Centre de services scolaire de Montréal and others are announced that all schools will be closed on Friday, December 23, 2022.
The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) announced that all schools, daycares, adult centres and the head office of the English Montreal School Board will be closed tomorrow, Friday, December 23, 2022, because of the weather.

Snowfall amounts from 15 to 20 centimetres are expected from Thursday night to Friday morning. Snow will change to rain Friday morning with a risk of freezing rain during this transition. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
